Superbites set to Batter the Competition for Quality Award Champion Award
Crossmaglen’s renowned fish and chip shop, Superbites, is in the running for a prestigious award from the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Fish and Chip Quality Award Scheme. Already the proud holder of the NFFF Quality Award, the local eaterie is now going forward to the Quality Award Champion Award 2016, which celebrates the hard work that Quality Award holders undertake to promote and market the benchmark to its customers, suppliers and the industry as a whole.
Launched in January 2011, the NFFF Fish & Chip Quality Award is a scheme aimed at improving standards and rewarding shops that provide top quality fish and chips in a clean, hygienic and safe environment. It acknowledges those who continue to raise the standards of the nation’s fish and chip shops and rewards those shops that achieve the perfect balance between good quality products, clean hygienic premises, outstanding shop appearance, and highly trained and competent managers and staff.
Superbites’ customers can be assured that they are dining on top quality fish and chips from one of the UK’s best fish and chip shops, worthy of the Quality Award endorsement which is only given to shops which have attained incredibly high standards and produces the best quality fish and chips.
The successful local takeaway restaurant is no stranger to accolades, with a string of prestigious titles under its belt. Most recently, Superbites joined the Fish and Chip Shop elite from across the UK, when it was announced as the top Fish and Chip Shop out of counties Antrim, Down and Armagh, as part of the 2016 National Fish & Chip Awards, organised by Seafish. The coveted achievement propelled the local takeaway to one of the top two best fish and chip shops in Northern Ireland and one of the top 21 in the UK
